Searchin
Joel Michael Posner © 2002 JuMPsongs
Hey could You be the One?
I’ve been searching so long
Has the Messiah come?
Could my heart be so wrong?
I see the miracles that You’ve done
And something rings true
Some say You’re not the one
What’s this seeker to do?
Now my heart’s on the run
And my dreams out of sight
I want the warmth of the sun
But I’m lost in the night
I heard the things that You said
And something rings true
I toss and I turn in bed
What’s this seeker to do?
I’m looking forward to the time
When I feel sure
Your love and grace will fill my heart
And ease my mind
Take a look in my heart
I am drawn to Your light
Lead me out of this dark
You know I wanna do right
I feel the hope that You bring
And something rings true
Some say “Don’t mean a thing”
What’s this seeker to do?
Just Because
Barry McKinley © 2001
Listen to me I'll sing a story
about a life that never was
When reason is missing, and logic fades out
The answer is always just because
I thought I'd go out and try and find
Love, beauty and truth
But I found nothing and it seems I've wasted
All the talents of my youth
I've been fooling only myself
Your creation leaves me no excuse
I stand guilty of all my sins
God knows everything that I do that I do
I've spent my whole life just getting older,
'Cause I thought time was the key
I thought time held all the answers
To all the problems that troubled me
I've been thinking how to think
Without thinking, thinking of You
Still You drift, into my thoughts
Every time that I do, that I do
In looking back oh I've found out
That things aren't always as they seem
And all I've got to show for all this time gone by
Is empty memories and dreams
10 STEPS X 3
Joel Michael Posner © 1999
As I walk along the path
You laid out before me
As I turn around and ask
What the journey holds for me
10 steps times 3 Just ahead of me
10 steps times 3 Further then I see
10 steps times 3 Every step with me
Jesus you lead
As my thoughts begin to drift
You fade out of focus
Then I remember the Gift
Of love nailed to the cross
Lead us to glory Lead us to peace
Lead us to the victory
With the love that will not cease
Lead us in wisdom Lead us from fear
Lead us to Your Kingdom
Lead us there
As I think about the Grace
You bestowed upon me
Pieces fall into place
I know where You’ll be
Tears of Pain
By Tom Brenner/Jerry Wood
I can’t believe you’re really gone
I can’t conceive of being on my own
When I left you, standing in the rain
You know I left you too in all those tears of pain
I thought you changed, You’re still the same
Will I get home, or ever love again
You’re far away You won’t be back again
You’ve got your way that’s how it’s always been
COST OF LOVE
Joel Michael & Carol J. Posner
© 2002 JuMPsongs
It wouldn’t matter If it were just a day
If pain’s old ladder Was the only way
If I could know love
That’s the price I would pay
The cost of love is measured in pain
The cost of love tears fall like rain
The cost of love is measured in pain
Can’t always see the reward that you gain
Only God knows the true cost of love
It sounds so noble When you haven’t lost
No scar no trouble No burning bridges crossed
You don’t have a clue,
No you don’t know the cost
When it’s time to pay We don’t comprehend
So shocked and so dazed We don’t understand
When the warmth just fades
When a law won’t bend
The cost of love is measured in pain
The cost of love tears fall like rain
The cost of love is measured in pain
Can’t always see the reward that you gain
Only God knows the true cost of love
Redondo
Lyrics Jerry Wood, Music Tom Brenner & Jerry Wood © 1980,2007
Have you ever seen Redondo Walkin in the Rain
Holding hands with someone, you love seems like yesterday
I wished you’d seen Redondo and the sand is cold and white
On some still winter’s night while the moon is shining bright
You think it will always last before you know, it’s in the past
You always seem to be the last to know same old forgotten Soul
The summers in Redondo Slide softly through the day
Gentle morning Breezes To longer days give way
Walkin in the evenings the sky’s are crimson red
Yellow gold’s of autumn cascade from over head
Have you ever seen Redondo? Walkin in the Rain.
Holding hands with someone, you love seems like yesterday
CRY RAGE
Joel Michael & Carol J. Posner © 1999 JuMPsongs
Cry Rage
This world is Satan’s cage
Broken lives, locked lair
Empty grief, nothing’s fair
Brothers wreak havoc against me
My body a torn lifeless form
Brother, where is your humanity?
I deserve more than your scorn!
An animal beat to submission
Unable to bear further strife
Drawn into a fetal position
Protecting what’s vital for life
I want to obey my God
He has called us to care
To carry his message a-broad
And our brother’s burdens to bear
I’ll Do Anything for You

As the screen door slams,
he can still hear the fightin’ goin’ on.
So he fires up his bike and she hops on
and they’re into the wind
Then she buries her head
deep into his back
as her tears blow away.
And he cries Jesus if you’re real,
then prove it to me now.
And he cries Jesus hear my prayer,
and I’ll do anything,
I’ll do anything for you
Hurtin’ on the inside, they keep searchin’
but they just can’t find no peace.
So he fires up the joint and she joins in
and they’re floatin’ through the wind.
It’s so hard to pretend
‘cause they know it don’t last
and he hangs down his head.
He had a dream where everything was OK
Where angels watch over as children play
And God’s in control so none go astray
Is there a place where they can live this way
He needs to know somethin’
there’s gotta be something more.
He can’t live with the shame
He’s decided to surrender his life to Christ
Now God fires up his heart and she wants in
and the Spirit comes like the wind
Now they walk with Jesus
growin’ in the Lord
Helpin’ others to do the same
And he cries Jesus you are real,
and you proved yourself to me!
Jesus hears my prayer,
and I’ll do anything,
anything For You
We're So There

Paul of Tarsus was a brainiac
He freaks you out…if you’re a maniac
Talkin' da truth slicin' like a knife
Hangin' with him gonna change your life
We're so there Feed the Hungry
We're so there Serve the Poor
We're so there Following Jesus
We're so there
Thomas da twin 'bout to bust and shout
Sorry my bro's I gotta head full of doubt
The resurrected Jesus let him touch the bod
Tommy lays it down says My LORD and God
Simon Peter made his cash from a fishing boat
Caught so many fish It Wouldn't Float
da miracle man claiming He is God
Says follow Me and lose that rod
Unchained
Joel Michael Posner COPYRIGHT 1999 JUMPSONGS
Looking out over the dawn,
I don't believe my eyes
A breath of air blows so warm, chills run up my sides
Oh no, I must be dreaming.
I don't deserved to be here today
Even now, I feel like screaming
I did the crime You chose to pay Now my life's renewed
Looking back oh what a loss, I turn away in shame
Innocence nailed to the cross, there to bear my pain
You may say I don't deserve to be free,
people call me a lucky guy
What kind of man would stand in for me
Bear my sin on the cross to die
Jacob’s Well
Gerald Jerry Patrick Wood © 2001
Here we are in the oasis of Jacob’s Well
You live in a dry and dusty hell
Life can be a dry and dusty land
Some thirst for love and only reap sand
You search a wasteland never finding
Promises made but never binding
In the Oasis of the Lord you will find
Living water
Ask me for some living water
You have a thirst that leaves you dry
You need living water ask me why?
The Difference
Joel Michael Posner © 2000 JuMPsongs
The scene is extraordinary the stage is set
Don't cry Mary, the promise was kept.
Go be a confident witness, you've seen and heard
Let the empty tomb profess the wonderful word.
This is the key, this was the plan
This is the glory the Son of Man
Preeminent, magnificent conquering death
this is the difference
Don't let your heart be troubled, don't be afraid
He is the truth and life, He is the way
He had to suffer for this He has to leave The prophets spoke it, can you believe?
Didn’t Know
Gerald Jerry Patrick Wood ©1996 2006
It started out so innocently
Such sweet words such harmony
You didn’t know, I didn’t know,
We didn’t know
You could break a Young man’s heart
You promised to make all my problems gone
Little did I know you’d be the only one
You only want what you cannot have
A secret slave to forbidden demands
How many parts are in a young mans heart
Can you stop till it won’t start?
Finally turned to stone hard and bitter as dust
Harder than iron only it can’t rust.
What good is it then, No it won’t mend.
But In the end you're up and gone
And all I have left is the same old song
A Young man’s heart
Time Goes
© By Jerry Wood 2001 2006
Wherever time goes,
just makes its mind up and it goes,
Time just rolls on 2000 time or more
Think about the future what it has in store
When we reach the end of time
when our lives are o'er
Will death take us in its arms
is there something more?
When it comes will not know when,
No not the hour nor way
Should be ready at all times,
Because this could be your day?
When we reach the end of time
when our lives are o'er
Will death take us in its arms
Is there something more?
When we reach our resting place,
just made for you or me
Will there be no pain or hurt
a simplicity,
Is there an end to this life’s agony
Is death the only answer
will it set us free?
